Doha Institute of Higher Studies organizes second open day to showcase master’s and doctoral programs

Doha, Qatar: As part of DI outreach to showcase DI programs and admission requirements and requirements, the Dean of Student Affairs organized the second Open Day for students interested in completing their postgraduate studies in doctoral and master’s programs on Thursday November 14, 2024. .

On this occasion, Ms. Naseema Abdeen, Director of Communication and External Relations, spoke of the importance of this annual event as a bridge to improve communication between interested students and the DI.

The event will allow students to explore available academic programs and understand admission requirements.

It will also be an opportunity for future students to interact with other students in the same discipline, thus enriching their knowledge and increasing their enthusiasm for discovering DI academic life.

Ms. Abdeen emphasized that these integration days are organized periodically as part of the tradition of the DI to clarify its mission of promoting scientific research and discovery as essential elements of the learning experience at different levels of study.

The day, which took place at the DI, included various events such as presentations of master’s programs, sharing of learning experiences, lecturers’ presentation and discussion of available study options and offering information as needed to the public at the designated kiosk for each program.

The Doha Institute of Postgraduate Studies offers master’s programs at two schools.

The School of Social Sciences and Humanities offers 14 master’s programs in philosophy, history, sociology and anthropology, politics and international relations, journalism, linguistics and Arabic lexicography, comparative literature, social psychology, clinical psychology, social work, critical security studies , conflict management. and humanitarian work and human rights.

The School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy offers a master’s degree in public administration, development economics and public policy and an executive master’s degree in public administration.

The DI offers eight doctoral programs in the two schools: development economics, public administration, politics and international relations, Arabic linguistics and lexicography, history, sociology, media studies and critical security studies.

The DI has already announced the online admission application dates for the 2025-2026 academic year from September 1, 2024 to January 15, 2025.

The Dean of Student Affairs urged all applicants to submit the required documents electronically after reviewing all requirements and conditions on time.
