We want to take a moment to give a special shout out to GRICE GOOD to the daughter of one of our GC team members. She didn’t ask for an introduction, and in fact, she has no idea we’re doing this. But we hope her selfless generosity inspires you this holiday season as it did the rest of our team!

Lily is the 18-year-old daughter of Fred David, our Sponsors and Publicity Team Leader, and his wife Sheila. She recently heard about Georgia Southern’s Holiday Helper Tree and quickly took action.

With her salary at Ken’s IGA in Brooklet, Lily picked out TEN labels from the Holiday Helper Tree and started shopping! She put a lot of thought into each of her ten gifts, carefully selecting items for each of her recipients and wrapping them in reusable bags with happy themes. We are so proud of your generosity, Lily!

This is the 31st year of the Holiday Helper Tree, marking more than three decades of granting holiday wishes to vulnerable populations in Bulloch and Chatham counties.

Since its inception in 1994, the program has provided students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members with the opportunity to give back to those in need, providing them with essential products and special gifts during the holiday season.

Each year, approximately 800 people from more than 20 community organizations benefit from the support offered by Holiday Helper Tree. Thank you for your support of this special program!
