PHOENIX (AZFamily) — As a photographer, one of Jennifer Lloyd’s specialties is portraits. “I love what I do,” she said. “I love making women shine and show their confidence.”

These photos can be valuable to people re-entering the workforce. “When you think about apps like LinkedIn, or if you’re trying to get a lead, you need to have an online presence,” Lloyd said. “We can’t escape it. This is exactly the reality today.

They can be important for a job search, but professional headshots can be expensive. From now on, Lloyd will provide photos for free during a back to school event for women in Phoenix on Tuesday, October 29, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Dr. Mona Amini is one of the speakers at the event. She says women returning to the office or changing careers often face imposter syndrome. “Professionalally, it really affects you because it causes this vulnerability in you and you feel like I’m not good enough,” she said.

This is something Amini wants to help women of all ages tackle. “It doesn’t matter how old we are,” she said. “We can always have renewal and another season of change. »

Lloyd was a stay-at-home mom for years, so she knows what it was like to return to a 9-to-5 job. “I remember feeling anxiety during my job search and I know that having this professional headshot will eliminate a lot of that stress,” she said.

Tuesday’s back-to-work event is free, but registration is recommended if you are interested in a free portrait.
