AAI 2024 recruitment: allocation

Graduate apprentices: 15,000 rupees
Technical apprentices (diploma): 12,000 rupees
Trade apprentices (ITI): 9,000 rupees

The official notification states: “Apprentices will have to undergo apprenticeship training at notified airports/establishments. The allocated airport/station/unit will be final; no change in the training location will be considered. In accordance with the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961, as amended from time to time, candidates who have already completed their apprenticeship, terminated their apprenticeship midway or are continuing it in other organizations or within of the AAI with the same level of qualification will not be eligible for appointment. as apprentices.”

Distribution of positions

In total, 90 apprenticeship positions are available, divided into different sectors:

• 17 civil engineer positions
• 20 for electrical engineers
• 15 for computer engineers
• 8 for mechanical engineers
• 5 for installers
• 10 for mechanical vehicle specialists
• 10 for electricians
• 5 for designers

Selection mode

The provisional selection of candidates will be determined based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ids and called for interview and document verification. Final selection will be subject to successful completion of interview, verification of certificates and submission of medical fitness certificate at the time of joining. Selected candidates will preferably be displayed in designated locations in the North East region, based on their location of registration on the portal.
