The fight card was headlined by a high-stakes men’s flyweight bout featuring Brandon Moreno taking on Amir Albazi. The contest culminated in a dominant performance from former flyweight kingpin Brandon Moreno. “The Assassin Baby” managed to take down Amir Albazi for the majority of the match, hitting “The Prince” with jabs, left hooks and a few well-timed kicks. By the end of the fourth round, Albazi’s face was an absolute mess and it only got worse as Moreno continued his assault in the fifth and final round. After twenty-five minutes of action, there was without a doubt that Moreno would get the green light.

UFC Edmonton was co-headlined by a key women’s flyweight clash featuring Rose Namajunas taking on Erin Blanchfield. This highly anticipated fight turned out to be a back-and-forth affair. Rose Namajunas managed to get off to a good start in the first two rounds, using her jab and footwork to keep Erin Blanchfield at bay. However, in the third round, “Cold Blooded” managed to take the fight to the ground for the first time and began to tip the scales in his favor. She was eventually able to find her striking range and used good flurries and timely takedowns to edge out the unanimous decision victory.

Following tonight’s conclusion eventUFC officials announced during the post-fight press conference that four fighters would earn performance bonuses.
