List of F&O prohibitions: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday (October 28) banned trading of ten stocks in the futures and options (F&O) segment as they exceeded 95 per cent of the market-wide position limit (MWPL). ).

However, these shares will be available for trading in the spot market. The NSE updates the list of securities banned from F&O trading on a daily basis.

List of F&O bans today

Aarti Industries, Bandhan Bank, Dixon Technologies, Kubota Escorts, IDFC First BankIndiamart Intermesh, L&T Finance, Manappuram Finance, NMDCAnd RBL Bank are the ten stocks on the NSE’s F&O banned list on October 28.

The NSE said derivative contracts on these securities exceeded 95% of the market-wide position limit and were placed within the exchange’s blackout period.

“All clients/members shall trade the derivative contracts of the said security only to reduce their positions through offsetting positions. Any increase in open positions will result in appropriate penal and disciplinary action,” the NSE statement said.

No new positions are allowed when exchanges place F&O contracts on a particular stock during the blackout period.

On October 25, equity benchmark Sensex plunged around 660 points to collapse below the 80,000 level due to widespread selling pressure following massive foreign capital outflows and subdued growth in profits.

The BSE Sensex fell 662.87 points, or 0.83 percent, to settle at 79,402.29. During the day, it plunged 927.18 points or 1.15 percent to a low of 79,137.98.

The NSE Nifty fell 218.60 points or 0.90 percent to 24,180.80. The index closed lower for the fourth consecutive week.

On the weekly front, the benchmark BSE index fell 1,822.46 points or 2.24 percent, and the Nifty fell 673.25 points or 2.70 percent.

The BSE small-cap index declined by 2.44 per cent and the mid-cap index fell by 1.48 per cent.

Among sectoral indices, oil and gas plunged 3.09 percent, consumer durable goods 2.74 percent, services (2.69 percent), energy (2.66 percent ), utilities (2.53 percent), telecommunications (2.38 percent) and capital goods (2.23 percent).
