David Beckham has hailed his wife Victoria and their daughter Harper as his “women of the year”.

The retired footballer, 49, congratulated the fashion designer, 50, after their 13-year-old daughter presented him with the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Woman of the Year ceremony from Harper’s Bazaar, Tuesday evening (11/24/05).

Sharing a photo of his wife and their daughter at the event, he wrote on his Instagram Story: “So proud, woman of the year.

“Maybe it should be woman of the year, you both look so beautiful.”

Harper admitted she was “very nervous” as she took the stage to honor her own mother at the event.

She said: “Good evening everyone, I’m very excited to be here to present the Entrepreneur Award – especially as tonight is a school night.

“And I hope it doesn’t get me in trouble.”

The teenager praised how her famous mother taught her “what it takes to succeed”, as well as the importance of being “kind”.

She continued: “The winner is someone I have always admired. She built an incredible business from the ground up and showed me the importance of working hard, dreaming big and setting my standards.

“She taught me a lot about what it takes to be successful. But most of all, she taught me to always be kind and even though she has a million things to do, she rarely misses school.

“Tonight, I am very proud to present the Entrepreneur of the Year award to a truly inspiring woman who means everything to me, my incredible mother, Victoria Beckham.”

Victoria took the stage and told her daughter she was “so, so proud” of her.

She said: “Going on stage in front of a room full of people is scary and you did it with such poise and elegance.

“I am so proud of the young woman you have become. You keep me grounded and inspire me every day.

“You teach me to see the world with fresh eyes. And as busy as I am, being a mom is the most important job to me. So thank you.”
