ITV Britain’s Got Talent set to make major changes to auditions for new series | Television and radio | Showbiz and television

Britain’s Got Talent has reportedly brought a huge change to auditions for hopefuls looking to appear on the ITV show when it returns in 2025. It comes as head judge Simon Cowell reportedly said he wanted the show “to be the best possible.” “.

Bosses are reportedly considering changing venue for the auditions. In future, all budding stars will appear on stage in Blackpool, rather than the London Palladium.

Apparently, the change was decided because the producers like the atmosphere of the northern seaside town, where the audience always shows complete enthusiasm for the acts that appear.

A source told the press: “BGT is a show that depends on the audience and how they react – and basically the Blackpool audience are absolutely brilliant.

“The Palladium is such an iconic venue, but if you compare the Blackpool shows to the ones they filmed in London, the audiences there are much more enthusiastic.

“Boss Simon Cowell has given the decision the green light and just wants the show to be the best it can be.”

However, the change could pose problems for Judge Amanda Holden. She currently works five days a week in London so may need to travel to meet her BGT commitments.

Auditions for the 2025 series began in October, with the remainder due to be filmed in the new year. With the performances already being filmed, Amanda has already shared that someone captured her heart enough for her to press the Golden Buzzer.

Teasing the moment on social media, the TV judge said: “This is something you wouldn’t expect me to push for!”

The venue isn’t the only aspect of the ITV talent show to be shaken up. It was earlier reported that a new judge would be on hand.

KSI temporarily replaced Bruno Tonioli and will appear on the talent competition jury for only three of the five audition days in the first round. Bruno then returned to film the rest of the previous auditions.
