Chris Stapleton forgot to thank his wife Morgane after his victory at the 2024 CMA Awards

Chris Stapleton forgot to thank an important collaborator when he accepted his first victory of the evening at 2024 Country Music Association Awards.

On Wednesday, November 20, the 46-year-old singer attended the 58th Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville, where he was nominated for a total of five awards. Early in the night he won the prize for single of the year for his song “White Horse”, which featured his wife Morgane Stapleton as producer.

The country star forgot to thank her during his acceptance speech – but was lucky enough to make up for it by picking up his second win of the night for song of the year for the same track.
