ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (WLS) — A death investigation is underway after a body was found Saturday morning in a wooded area in the northern suburbs, police said.

Elk Grove Village police said initial reports indicate a motorist noticed a person, identified only as a woman, lying in Busse Woods near Higgins Road, about a mile west of Arlington Heights Road around 9:30 a.m.

Cook County Forest Preserve Police are investigating a death.

Elk Grove Village police said they have no missing person reports and there is no threat to the community.
