Pop artist who helped register most new voters in 2024 revealed

Sabrina Charpentier helped to register more new voters ahead of today’s US presidential election than any other artist.

In a statement, HeadCount Executive Director Lucille Wenegieme said: “Through our partnerships with more than 100 top music artists – like Sabrina Carpenter, Green Day, Ariana Grande and many more – HeadCount has experienced a record year, registering more than 450,000 new voters. and engage more than 3 million additional people to ensure they vote.

“Our model works because musicians and celebrities have cultural cache and an intimate connection with their fans, particularly among young people, whose identity as a fan of a particular artist may be even stronger than that of a fan. other aspects of their identity, including political party affiliation. party or candidate.

HeadCount works with artists to register voters in person at their concerts, and also hosts sweepstakes and other contests that encourage fans to verify their voter registration to win tickets to shows.

The organization said it could track which voter registrations were associated with which act: “HeadCount has unique landing pages and tracking codes for each campaign, so they can get registration confirmation. Ultimately, they find out about registrations through the public voter file.
