Kenny Omega heads to Power Struggle.

NJPW announced Wednesday morning that Omega would make an appearance at Power Struggle on November 4 in Osaka.

“Kenny Omega will be at EDION Arena Osaka for a special appearance!”, reads the NJPW website. “After a meeting at the NJPW offices with Hiroshi Tanahashi created a buzz in the wrestling world, what will come out of this special appearance?”

Omega is currently out of action as he continues to recover from a serious case of diverticulitis that has kept him sidelined all year. In a recent interview When speaking with Tanahashi, Omega said he would be ready to go once he was cleared, expressing interest in a match at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.

“If they had cleared me tomorrow, I would be back in the ring,” Omega said. “There’s a lot I don’t know right now, but I would love to be on a stage like Wrestle Dynasty.”

AEW’s working relationship with NJPW allowed Omega to compete in Japan, defeating Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Title at Wrestle Kingdom 17 in 2023.
