In this guide, we’ve broken down all of Black Ops 6’s weapons into a tier list based on their performance during the beta and launch of the game. We’ve also highlighted the top ten weapons we believe are worth your time. Read on for our tier list and summary The best weapons in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Black Ops 6 best weapon tier list

Here is our Black Ops 6 tier list listing all firearms in the game:

The best AK-74, AMES 85, C9, Jackal PDW, LR 7.62, Marine SP, SVD, Tanto .22, XMG, XM4
S Layer AS VAL, DM-10, GS45, LR 7.62, SVD, SWAT 5.56

Level B Goblin Mk2, GPMG-7, Grekhova, GPR 91, HE-1, KSV, PU-21, Tsarkov 7.62
Level C CIGMA 2B, LW3A1 Frostline, PP-919

Now let’s rank these ten weapons in the Best category and explain what makes them so powerful in Black Ops 6’s current meta.

10. Marine SP

It could be anywhere, but the Marine SP is a powerhouse. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision

The Marine SP is a slow shotgun that’s kind of unpredictable when it comes to hitting a target, but it’s still a shotgun that can blow the hinges off any door and whoever is behind it. There’s a lot of firepower if you can nail your target, and with so much fast movement in Black Ops 6, running around kamikaze style and taking out enemies with a round of Marine SP is very satisfying. Sure, it’s an unstable weapon, but it’s a fun weapon.

9.SVD

SVD in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The second best Sniper Rifle in the game for now. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision

While the SVD is a good semi-automatic Sniper Rifle, it is not as top-notch as the LR 7.62 in my eyes. You’re looking at a gun that’s pretty tricky to aim, and the LR 7.62 feels a lot more forgiving in comparison. However, the damage here is still catastrophic, and with the higher Mag size, you may find yourself gravitating towards this weapon when switching between sniping options.

8.LR 7.62

LR in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is 7.62.
If you want to see your targets’ heads explode like melons, get the LR 7.62. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision

For Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle fans, the LR 7.62 wins the award as the only one-shot kill weapon. The damage is obviously spectacular, and unlike SVD, it doesn’t feel like you need absolutely perfect headshot aim to take out traitors from across the map. You’ll be dealing with slow-as-molasses handling, which is a pain on smaller maps, but this also applies to Sniper Rifles.

7.XMG

XMG in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Look at this ammo! You’ll put this to good use with XMG. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision

the The damage is solid and the recoil is pretty low, but it stinks to use. However, if you like LMGs, you might want to give the XMG a shot because it’s easily the best in the game right now.

6.AK-74

The AK-74 has strong recoil, but if that doesn’t bother you it’s a great gun. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision

Unlike its cousin, the AMES 85, which has average damage but low recoil, the AK-74 is quite capable of tearing apart enemies, but when it does it splatters everywhere. The slow rate of fire is also troublesome. But if you’re experienced with tough weapons and don’t mind a little recoil, then the AK-74 may well shine in your hands. And it’s really hard to say no to this amazing stopping power. Check out our AK-74 equipment manual For some tips on adjusting ignition and speed.

5.C9

C9 from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Good for running and shooting, and for anyone who once used the MP5. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision

For all of you who are nostalgic for the classic MP5 from Call of Duty games of yesteryear, then look no further, because the C9 is that gun by another name. Accuracy here is nice, and the C9’s time-to-kill ratio is among the highest of all the weapons on this list. If you’re using the run-and-gun style and are still trying to figure out which SMG suits you best, the C9 is a great option and our C9 equipment manual It will be a valuable assist. The only reason it isn’t higher in our ranking is because the Jackal PDW and Tanto .22 are so good right now. Well, nerfs will come and C9 can take advantage of them.

4. AMES 85

AMES 85 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
If you like MCW you’ll probably like AMES 85. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision

It took a long time for the AMES 85 to be unlocked in the beta version of Black Ops 6, but now that we have the full game, this Assault Rifle has a good chance of rising quickly in the rankings and possibly even taking the top spot. We’re putting the XM4 ahead of this for now, but obviously it’s a matter of preference.

The main advantages of the AMES 85 are its excellent rate of fire and low recoil. The damage could be better, but overall the AMES 85 vaguely reminds me of the MCW from Modern Warfare 3, and if you’re reading this list you know how popular that weapon is. In any case, leveling up the AMES 85 is a very good strategy if you’re aiming for multiplayer domination, and if you equip the Overkill Wildcard Perk, you can really punch a hole in the game by pairing this weapon with one of our top-tier SMGs. opposition.

3. XM4

XM4 on the weapon loading screen in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
An excellent choice for AR beginners and seasoned veterans, the XM4 will be a great addition to your arsenal. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision

When it comes to the most impressive Black Ops 6 Assault Rifle, it’s a current battle between the XM4 and the AMES 85. We highlight the XM4 because it’s slightly more reliable. This is a very solid AR that does what it is told to do as soon as you pick it up, and since many new players are turning to Assault Rifles, it’s nice to have an AR that serves as a useful recommendation for everyone.

Don’t think the XM4 is just for beginners, as experienced operators can get a lot out of this firearm with a good selection of accessories. Ours XM4 equipment manual In the range section I will tell you what you need to do to strengthen this weapon. For beginners we recommend a handy optic or something like a Long Barrel.

2. Tanto 0.22

Tanto .22 SMG in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Depending on your playstyle, the Tanto .22 might be number one. | Image credit: activation

The Tanto .22 is a very good gun and I suspect it will pull the rug out from under the popularity of the Jackal PDW as time goes on. You can expect extremely powerful firepower from this gun, and its only advantage is its relatively low rate of fire, which means getting close to the Tanto .22 is not the best idea.

However, at mid-range or when paired with a good secondary weapon or an attachment that will increase the headshot multiplier (try the CHF Barrel), this SMG really shines. We will be keeping a close eye on the Tanto .22 as it is a truly powerful tool in the hands of the right player. It currently ranks second.

1. Jackal PDW

Probably an extremely powerful and very good SMG. | Image credit: Stone Paper Shotgun/Activision

The Jackal PDW takes the top spot as the weapon that dominated Black Ops 6’s beta to the point that everyone was using it. While not as powerful in the full game, Jackal PDW still leads the way thanks to its quality all-around stats that can beat ARs and Sniper Rifles on most maps. When you equip this weapon, you can expect excellent fire rate, explosive kill time stats, and ultimate mobility and handling.

It’s likely that Jackal PDW will drop to a few spots after Black Ops 6 develops. But this SMG is king of the hill for now, and its sickly purple Scourge variant remains a very popular choice for anyone who pre-ordered Black Ops 6’s Vault Edition. You’re all running around multiplayer maps right now with your glowing Jackal PDW blasting me at point blank range; Enjoy it till the end.
