    Ever since I first read Riders in the early 90s, I’ve been a fan of Jilly Cooper. So you’d think I’d be thrilled to read that his second bonkbuster, Rivals, was being made into a TV series, complete with an all-star cast. But instead, all I felt was apprehension of fear that one of my favorite books would be ruined by a less-than-successful transition to the small screen.
