GRAP-IV in force; Complete list of what is allowed and what is prohibited

In Delhi NCR, Stage 4 of GRAP was implemented today at 8 am by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) after the Air Quality Index air (AQI) has fallen into the “more severe” category.

This decision was made following an urgent meeting of the GRAP subcommittee on November 17, during which they reviewed current air quality measurements, weather data and IMD and IITM forecasts.

Delhi AQI falls into ‘Severe Plus’ category

On Sunday, the air pollution problem in the NCR worsened. As of 4 p.m., Delhi’s average air quality index reached a critical level of 441, which is in the ‘severe’ category, up from 419 the day before.

According to CPCB data, air quality declines steadily throughout the day. It was the fourth “severe” day of the month, with Delhi’s AQI falling from 421 at 9 a.m. to 468 at 10 p.m. The most recent “severe plus” rating was recorded at 454 on November 13. After 447 on January 14, the 4 p.m. reading of 441 is the second highest reading of the year.
