Travis Kelce and the Chiefs win as Taylor Swift returns to cheer them on

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to a perfect 8-0 in the NFL season after an overtime thriller – with Taylor Swift‘s seal of approval!

Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-17 at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, November 4 as Swift, 34, supported her boyfriend during Kansas City’s Week 9 game.

Kelce caught 14 passes for 100 receiving yards as Swift — sporting a vintage-style Chiefs leather jacket and knee-length Christian Louboutin boots — cheered him on.

Just before halftime, Kelce fumbled the ball, but the Chiefs earned another victory with a dominant second half.

Early in the fourth quarter, Mahomes, 29, appeared to be injured while running the ball toward the end zone. The Chiefs quarterback grimaced as he violently attacked the ankle, which had already been injured.

Fortunately, Mahomes was back on the field shortly after.

Overtime plunged fans at Arrowhead Stadium into a nervous calm as Kelce made a handful of catches from Mahomes, but running back Kareem Hunt helped the Chiefs seal the overtime victory with the final touchdown.

The “So High School” singer cheered on Kelce and her teammates along with her mother, Andrea Swift, her brother Austin and the Chiefs star’s mother, Donna Kelce. Andrea even wore Kansas City merchandise in the VIP suite with a jacket that said “In My Chiefs Era.”

Just days before Swift supported Kelce and the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, the tight end made the trip to Indianapolis to attend the second night of his girlfriend’s Eras tour shows at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Chiefs’ victory Monday comes a week after Kelce had his best game of the season, with a touchdown, against the Las Vegas Raiders on October 27. The dominant performance ended a drought to start the new season for Kelce, who admitted to having a slow start to his 12th NFL season.

After the Week 8 win, Kelce celebrated with a rare Instagram post to commemorate his first touchdown of the season, captioning the photos, “Vegas baby!! Vegas!!”

Next, the Chiefs will host the Denver Broncos at home on Sunday, November 10.
