Strictly Come Dancing fans have slammed the results of the public vote, insisting a couple should have taken part in the dance for “the worst performance of the night”.

Fans were strictly shocked by Sunday’s dance this week, as they wondered why Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał weren’t in the bottom two.

The TOWIE star and her partner finished bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday night, but managed to qualify in the public vote.

Instead, Wynne Evans, Katya Jones, Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe competed against each other in the dance, with Wynne being sent home by the judges.

Viewers, and Pete himself, were shocked when Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced he had made it.

“Pete through, this is ridiculous. Someone must have spent some money on phone lines. Words dance of the night,” tweeted one viewer.

“Pete is safe because of Montell? » asked another.

Both Pete and Jowita looked shocked by the results, with the reality star later telling Claudia “I can’t believe it”.

Jowita also revealed that “he had a speech prepared and everything.”

On Saturday, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell performed Paul Anka’s American Smooth to Jump, wowing the judges who awarded them a staggering 37 out of 40.

Meanwhile, Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec showed the judges their Paso Doble to Torn by Nathan Lanier, impressing once again and proving their place at the top of the leaderboard.

And while Tasha and Chris were in fine form, it was Jamie, Wynne and Pete who ended up in the bottom three.

Jamie and Michelle Tsiakkas took to the stage to perform a Jive to The Ketchup Song which included the actor descending on a giant bottle of ‘Strictly’s Tomato Ketchup’.

But despite the quirky openness, the duo lacked vibe, according to Motsi, and Shirley told Jamie he could have benefited from having his “weight in the right place.”

Wynne and Katya showed the judges their Charleston to Torreadores from Bizet’s Carmen with Wynne well dressed as a matador.

Viewers, and Pete himself, were shocked when Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced he had made it.

Anton called the performance “extraordinary”, but added that Wynne looked exhausted two-thirds of the way through and as a result his form had dropped.

Craig disagreed about the loss of momentum – but still complained about the flat foot and pivoting (or lack of pivoting).

The duo received a total of 31 for their dance, putting them second to last, just ahead of Pete who fared much worse.

The reality star and Jowita performed a Cha Cha to Right Said Fred’s I’m Too Sexy.

The former TOWIE star, 36, told the audience he wanted to do the dance to thank Jowita, before joking it was the “worst thank you in the world”.

Their dance scored a total of 27, including a paltry four from Craig, putting him at the bottom of the judge’s leaderboard.
