New Delhi: Applewhich recorded record sales in India in the September quarter, is set to open four more own-brand retail stores in India, the tech giant’s CEO said. Tim Cook said.

Apple reported revenue of $94.9 billion in the July-September period, a record for the quarter and up 6 percent from last year.


iPhone grew across all geographic segments, marking a new September quarter revenue record for the category, and Services set an all-time revenue record, up 12 percent year over year.

“We remain excited by the enthusiasm we are seeing in India, where we have established record sales. This has been an extraordinary year of innovation at Apple,” Cook said during the quarterly earnings conference call (Q4 FY2024) Thursday evening.

In addition to growth in developed markets, “we also saw strong performance in many emerging markets with double-digit growth in Mexico, Brazil, the Middle East, India and South Asia,” he said. -he explained.

Apple has two retail locations in India: New Delhi (Saket) and Mumbai (BKC). “We look forward to bringing four new stores to our customers in India. We are passionate about education and believe technology has a vital role to play in helping teachers inspire their students and students to discover the world around them,” Cook said.

According to Luca Maestri, executive vice president and chief financial officer, the company set “an unprecedented revenue record in the September quarter.”

As India continues to break all previous records in local manufacturing of mobile phones, Apple is on track to surpass India’s export figures for FY24, reaching over Rs 50,000 crore ( more than $6 billion) in the first six months of this fiscal year (FY25), according to the latest industry data.

iPhone exports from India surged to $10 billion in 2023-24 from $6.27 billion in 2022-23.

Overall, the iPhone maker’s operations in India reached a value of $23.5 billion in the last financial year (FY24). Apple assembled $14 billion worth of iPhones in India last fiscal year and exported more than $10 billion worth of devices.
