The incredible ice maze, the largest in the world and bigger than 15 tennis courts | World | News

Snowlandia in Zakopane, Poland is home to the world’s largest ice maze.

The incredible maze opened in 2016 and has been wowing visitors ever since. It spans over 32,000 square feet, which means it’s roughly the size of 15 tennis courts.

Additionally, the ice maze is located at the foot of the “Wielka Krokiew” ski jump and is surrounded by the beautiful Tatra National Park.

Unlike any ordinary maze, the Snowlandia maze is made entirely of snow and ice, with walls up to two meters high.

And the challenge of navigating its kilometer-long corridors has attracted thousands of tourists to this place.

Visitors enter through an ice castle made up of tall towers and medieval-style architecture.

Standing 14 meters high, the castle also offers panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains to those who manage to escape the maze and reach the summit.

Along the way, visitors can discover ice sculptures and even exhibits featuring knights and blacksmiths. Additionally, people can choose to exit the maze via an ice slide.

Snowlandia’s attractions don’t stop at the maze, however. The park also includes a toboggan run, a mini zoo and the Frozen Palace, filled with ice sculptures and fairytale-inspired rooms.

There are different ticket options available for those planning to visit.

According to Snowlandia official websitePrices for the maze or igloo with sculptures start at around £6.70 for adults, while a full package, including access to all areas, costs around £15.40 for adults and 13 £10 for children, students and pensioners.

For families, the full package costs £38.90 for two adults and one child, or £50.60 for two adults and two children. Tickets are valid for one day.

For British tourists, getting to Zakopane is relatively easy, with direct flights to Krakow followed by a two-hour bus ride to the mountain town.
