(CNN) – Tesla CEO Elon Musk doesn’t seem to care that his million-dollar sweepstakes in battleground states might be illegal.

Earlier this week, the Justice Department warned Musk’s pro-Trump PAC that prizes awarded to registered voters could violate federal election law.

But that didn’t stop the super PAC from offering two million-dollar prizes Thursday.

Voters were located in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Prizes are awarded to random registered voters who sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments.

Musk has promised to distribute $1 million every day until Election Day to registered voters in some swing states.

An election law analyst for CNN says voters who signed the petition could potentially face legal issues if they accepted money in exchange for their vote.

It should be noted that the DOJ has not accused any winner or signer of the petition of wrongdoing.
