MESA, Arizona (AZFamily) — A boy is dead after a rollover on U.S. 60 near Power Road in Mesa Friday evening that partially closed the highway.

Around 6:45 p.m., DPS responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash. Police say passersby stopped and found a woman and three children trapped in the vehicle.

When DPS and firefighters arrived, all people were extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital.

A 5-year-old boy later died.

The condition of the other victims involved is unknown.

The westbound lanes of US 60 are closed and it is unclear when they will be reopened.

Police are still investigating the accident. A depreciation has not been ruled out.
