Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Purse: How much money will the fighters get for a huge boxing fight tonight?

It’s been almost two decades since “Iron Mike” entered a boxing ring in a professional capacity, although he faced Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout in 2020.

Tyson’s professional record (50-6, 44 KOs) is on the line here, however, in an officially sanctioned fight.

Paul (11-1, 7KOs), meanwhile, returns to the ring for the first time since beating Mike Perry by technical knockout in July. The YouTube crossover star has won seven professional fights and three by knockout, although she was dominated by Tommy Fury in February 2023.

While boxing fans are unlikely to be huge fans of the fight, there is no doubt that eyes around the world will be watching.

As such, both fighters are in the running for one heck of a payday.

Speaking at a press conference in August, Paul suggested he was about to make $40 millionwhich equates to around £31.1 million.

“I’m here to make $40 million and take out a legend. I don’t care about anything else,” he said.

“And he was the one who wanted it to be a professional fight. So he’s going to get knocked out really, really, for real on a real record. You will see on BoxRec – Jake Paul against Mike Tyson, Jake Paul knocks out Mike Tyson.

UFC legend Henry Cejudo is close friends with Tyson, with the pair previously hosting a podcast together. He suggested in March that the 57-year-old was expected to earn around $20 million (around £15.4 million).

“I mean, you know what I respect, Uncle Mike…but obviously it takes two to tango,” Cejudo said. “I feel like there’s probably a really good payday for Mike. He’s probably going to make close to $20 million and he’s about to turn 58. Literally, Jake is 27 and Mike is 57.

“I don’t like it but I was with Mike when he was getting ready for his fight with Roy Jones Jr.. This guy is disciplined, he gets moody when he’s at fight camp and doesn’t smoke as much. He runs all days at 5 a.m. If there’s anyone super fierce who can potentially kick this guy out, it’s Mike.”
