UEFA banned Bartosz Frankowski and Tomasz Musial from refereeing, for bringing the match into disrepute.

The two Polish officials got drunk before a Champions League match between Rangers and Dynamo Kyev in Poland in August.

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has now suspended Frankowski and Musial from refereeing until June 30.

After Frankowski and Musial were arrested for trying to steal a road sign early in the morning, UEFA had to appoint Tomasz Kwiatkowski and Pawel Malec as replacements to work on the VAR for the match.

Frankowski is considered one of Poland’s most senior officials, having refereed Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, where he was VAR.

He and Musial also officiated in the Polish Ekstraklasa and the Champions League.
