Danganronpa V3’s Infamous Ending Shouldn’t Stop New Games

A lot of time has passed since a new main line Danganronpa the game is released. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that’s happening anytime soon either. With similar titles coming from creator Kazutaka Kodaka like The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy on the horizon, it appears this series is on hold indefinitely. This is likely due to a number of factors, such as the infamous Danganronpa V3 end, which should not stop again Danganronpa games.

I’ll do my best to avoid spoilers, but they’re pretty much unavoidable. So if you haven’t finished yet Danganronpa V3This is your chance to walk away and come back later. Still there? Well, the ending is controversial for a reason. This shakes up this whole series in more ways than one, but particularly because of the many lies.

As we discover, pretty much everything we knew about the show was a blatant lie or at least somewhat false. The characters existed and participated in these games, but with fake personas. It’s an intriguing commentary on the fans and the series, and one that I’ve grown to appreciate over the years. But the ending seems to put an end to the series.

After all, what’s the point now that we know the truth? But I don’t agree. I feel like this series ended just as it began. V3and even the second game before it, did a lot to deconstruct and surprise players. Characters you might think were evil died while the more innocent “main characters” turned out to be killers. Despite these wonderful twists and turns, like Kaede and Chiaki’s, there was still plenty of room for new turns.

For example, what would happen if a new game didn’t go the multiple survivor route? It would be a shock if only the protagonist survives or, dare I say it, ends the final case trying to get away with murder. It would be a fascinating twist on courtroom hearings.

Alternatively, what about a game with multiple endings? Here you can make choices that will determine the conclusion you get. Perhaps befriending a potential killer in one sense results in multiple survivors, while alienating that person resembling Nagito or Ouma causes them to pin murder on you and walk away as the victor. Or they might even finish you off as a victim.

These are just a few options for a new Danganronpa. I’m not even mentioning the incredible character options. Think about all the Ultimates we haven’t seen yet. There is almost unlimited potential for the continuation of the series. In fact, I think it’s better to look at the V3 finish this way.

On the one hand, Spike Chunsoft and Kodaka (or a new team) could opt for a new reboot. Scratch the whole ending and start again with a new class and no expectations. Or, set it in a new universe and move on to the ultimate college students. Another option would be to fill in the gaps between games.

Spoiler warning once again, but we now know that the newest game is actually the 53rd game in the universe. That means there are about 50 different games we haven’t played yet. That’s an incredible amount of content to check out. Could we see Rantaro’s game, for example? Or just a new case with no strings attached. It would even be an opportunity for them to organize a match. Danganronpa 4 and show the fourth game.

Finally, there is the big one. What if we just had a direct sequel to Danganronpa V3? I know it seems ridiculous with the ending, but there’s nothing left to hide now. The games can continue as before. But this time we know the truth of the matter.

This route offers many possibilities for how Spike can play with the characters and story. We may have more disturbed students, like someone who keeps switching between their old personality and their new fake personality. We could get to know the people behind the broadcast game, not the weird mess of Junko’s despair.

If anything, it gives the team a chance to avoid the pitfalls of the original trilogy. Instead of connecting all three games like before, just give us standalone experiences that are unique death games. This leaves room for anything that can happen. Anyway, I sincerely Danganronpa V3 This is not the end of this series and we have new ones Danganronpa games at any given time.

Master Detective Archives: Rain Code It was a solid distraction in 2023, but it was just a little short of what I want to see. And then there is The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. After how much I hated pointless battles in a story-driven game like 13 SentinelsI expect it to be a similar situation. These fun diversions are exciting to try, but I hope Kodaka gives us a new Danganronpa game as soon as possible.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is available for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Vita, Xbox One and PC.
