Celebrities have been threatening to leave the United States for years if Donald Trump were elected President of the United States.

It looks like at least one Hollywood celebrity is keeping her promise.

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi – The Wrap reportsaccording to a person close to DeGeneres — moved to England, claiming Trump was the reason. The couple put their California estate on the market.

According to the reportDeGeneres moved to the Cotswolds, a rural area in south-central England. The Wrap reported that DeGeneres owns other California properties, and it’s unclear what the comedian plans to do with them.

However, Fox News Digital reported that the house was sold in August, before the election. Fox News, citing a source, reports that Trump’s re-election “inspired the couple’s decision to jump ship.”

It is not yet clear whether the sale of the property in August was linked to a plan to move abroad.

DeGeneres announced her support for Vice President Kamala Harris in September by reposting support for Taylor Swift on Instagram. She added, “This childless cat lady couldn’t agree more,” addressing Vice President-elect JD Vance.
