MP Unytes with other visitors to see the Wolverhampton company’s new training system

Unyte Academy, based at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park, has celebrated the launch of its new learning management system (LMS).

Wolverhampton North East MP Sureena Brackenridge visited the Unyte Group to see its latest contribution to becoming greener and carbon neutral.

The forward-thinking platform is designed to advance skills development in the construction and renovation sectors and provide accessible training and resources that go hand in hand with the goal of decarbonising the UK built environment .

The MP toured the premises with other guests and saw how the new system works. It integrates staff training, professional development and skills development in the renovation and construction sectors.

The Leicestershire-based group hosts a national academy specializing in training the workforce to administer, manage, assess and install energy saving and renewable energy products in domestic and commercial buildings.

Jamie Bartley, group CEO, said: “The response to our LMS showed a clear demand for accessible, quality training in the areas of sustainability and construction. This is just the beginning of what the group wants to achieve. »

Ms Brackenridge said: “It was a pleasure to visit Unyte Academy and see their commitment to reducing carbon emissions and creating the essential building solutions for a carbon negative, planet positive future.

“With an expert team and comprehensive training programmes, they are well placed to equip our local businesses and workforce with the green innovation skills that Wolverhampton and Britain need.”
