Palestinian officials say Israeli strikes killed 22 people in northern Gaza

Israeli strikes on northern Gaza have killed at least 22 people, Palestinian medical officials said.

The Gaza Health Ministry’s emergency services said 11 women and two children were among those killed in strikes Saturday evening on several houses and buildings in the northern town of Beit Lahiya. He said 15 other people were injured and the death toll could rise.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military.

Lebanese state news agency reports Israeli raid on south Beirut

The official Lebanese news agency reported an Israeli raid on southern Beirut on Sunday, after the Israeli army issued a new call for evacuations.

The official National News Agency said shortly after midnight that Israel had “targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs.”

The Israeli army had earlier urged residents of two neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital to evacuate their homes.

“You are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests, against which the IDF will operate in the near future,” military spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a post on the social media platform Israeli army.

The evacuation call included maps showing buildings that would be targeted in Burj al-Barajneh and Hadath.
