Ryan Reynolds’ silly personality might just be an act.

Martha Stewart claimed the “Deadpool & Wolverine” star, who happens to be her neighbor, wasn’t as stupid as fans believe during her appearance on Bilt Rewards’ game show “Rent Free” in November with founder and CEO Ankur Jain.

“You want to know something?” He’s not that funny in real life,” the lifestyle guru, 83, said. “No, he’s not that funny.” He is very serious.

She mentioned Reynolds, 48, while trying to guess which respondents considered the most fun celebrities to hang out with.

“He’s probably on the list just because he hides in his movies and you don’t see his face,” she joked.

She then guessed whether Brad Pitt and George Clooney made the cut – which they didn’t.

“I would love to hang out with these guys,” she noted.

“George is really nice to hang out with,” Stewart added later.

Even though she was wrong about Hollywood idols, Stewart said she was certain that his close friend, Snoop Doggwould be on the list.

When asked to rank her top picks, the “Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, With Lessons and Stories from My Kitchen” The author ultimately placed “sweet” Taylor Swift as his first choice, followed by Snoop and then Clooney.

When Jain expressed shock that Reynolds wasn’t ranked, Stewart doubled down on his thoughts.

“He’s a good actor,” she confirmed. “He may act funny, but he’s not funny.”

“Maybe he can be funny again.”

“I’m going to get in trouble,” she added playfully. “He’s my neighbor.”

Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, own a $2 million home in BedfordNY, which is close to Stewart’s 153 acre property which has a fruit orchard, greenhouses and space for horses and donkeys.

Stewart became friends with Reynolds and Lively, 37, when they bought a house in her neighborhood.

“She moved into my neighborhood a few years ago with Ryan – before they got married, they bought a house right next to me. And they started coming, not to borrow sugar, but just as friends,” she said. recalled to HuffPost in 2014.

They later moved to a more private home, but still live near Stewart.

“They are very friendly and very kind people,” she added.

“In a way, quite shy – not at all screen shy, if you’ve seen any of Blake’s films – but very shy in person.”
