2025 BMW S1000RR revealed with minor updates

BMW Motorrad has revealed the 2025 edition of its liter-class sports bike, the S 1000 RRfor international markets. The new model is just a cosmetically different iteration of its predecessor while being largely identical mechanically.

The front end of the 2025 model appears more bulbous than before with a more curved headlight cowl. The winglets have also grown and are almost as large as on the M 1000 RR. They are also functionally more efficient and generate more downforce than the previous model. Fairings similar in size to the 2009 model feature an asymmetrical design with an outlet vent on the left side and gills on the right. Moreover, BMW integrated brake cooling ducts into the front fender to cool the disc brakes during track sessions.

Feature-wise, Pro Driving Mode and M Quick-Action Throttle now come standard. It continues to be powered by a 999 cc inline four-cylinder engine that produces 206.51 hp and 113 Nm. The list of available electronic aids is as long as ever with traction control, slip control function, ABS with brake assist, four riding modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race), hill hold control, bi-directional quickshifter, launch control. and pit lane limiter.

The BMS S 1000 RR is available in three variants in India – standard, Pro and Pro M Sport with prices ranging between Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 20.75 lakh and Rs. 25.25 lakh, ex-showroom. New models will certainly command a premium over existing models.
