Joe Biden (remember him?) visited Arizona last week to deliver the first official presidential apology to Native Americans for forcing so many thousands of their children to attend boarding schools in previous decades.

The timing and location on a Native American tribal reservation fit perfectly with the Democratic campaign, given that Arizona is a swing state. Biden won it by less than a percentage point in 2020 and Native Americans, heavily Democratic, make up more than 5% of the state’s population.
