Nigerian Navy Disables Crude Oil Criminals’ Hideout, Arrests Two Suspects

The Nigerian Navy’s Operation DELTA SANITY has discovered and deactivated a hideout housing crude oil thieves in Oboloba community, Bayelsa State.

It also detected and destroyed an illegal refining site loaded with a large quantity of illegally refined kerosene in Foropa.

According to the statement: “Operation DELTA SANITY: On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) SOROH discovered and deactivated a hideout that houses crude oil thieves in Oboloba community, State of Bayelsa.

“In another development, the same day, the NNS SOROH patrol team detected and destroyed an illegal refining site laden with large quantity of illegally refined kerosene in the Foropa general area of ​​Bayelsa State .

“Furthermore, on Friday, November 8, 2024, NNS SOROH in collaboration with Forward Operating Base FORMOSO apprehended 2 suspects in possession of 2 wooden boats loaded with bags containing illegally refined AGO in Igbomotoru, Bayelsa State .

“Finally, another wooden boat loaded with a large quantity of stolen crude oil was discovered and seized in Tubu-Bolo River, Bayelsa State.”
