Nissan Patrol: what to expect?

Why is Nissan toying with the idea of launching the iconic beast, the Patrol, in India? Well, the all-new SUV is currently only available in a left-hand drive version. However, Nissan plans to roll out a right-hand drive version for the Australian Outback and markets like South Africa and Japan. According to Autocar India, the right-hand drive version is definitely in the works for India.

The patrol abandoned the diesel engine and now comes with two V6 gasoline powertrains. The entry-level version has a 3.8-liter V6 developing 312 hp and 386 Nm of torque, while the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 develops 419 hp and 700 Nm. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. India should get the twin-turbo model. This ultra-premium vehicle could have a price tag exceeding Rs 1 crore.
