Every aspirant dreams of cracking the UPSC civil services exam, one of the toughest exams in India. While only a few manage to achieve success, Divya Tanwar achieved this remarkable feat not once, but twice, thereby securing a prestigious position in the government.

Divya attempted the UPSC exam for the first time in 2021, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 438 at just 21 years old. Remarkably, she accomplished this without any supervision, relying solely on self-study. At the age of 22, she retook the UPSC CSE in 2022 and improved her rank to AIR 105.

Dr. Vikas Divyakirti of Drishti IAS expressed his admiration for Divya’s achievements, considering her one of his most diligent students.

Hailing from Mahendragarh in Haryana, Divya did her early education in government schools before being selected for Navodaya Vidyalaya in the city. After completing a degree in science, she immediately started preparing for the UPSC exams. His family’s financial situation was difficult; her father died in 2011, leaving them facing difficult circumstances.

Divya’s mother, Babita Tanwar, has been a tremendous source of support throughout her journey. Although she did not enroll in any coaching program, Divya cleared the UPSC preliminary exam using various online resources and test series for her preparation for the main exam. Babita raised Divya and her three siblings alone.

Divya’s academic excellence motivated her mother to encourage her ambitions. She has gained popularity on social media, where she shares motivational content with her followers and currently has over 22.5k followers on Instagram.
