As per the official announcement, candidates must have a valid UGC NET 2024 score or a valid UGC NET with JRF to be eligible to apply for IGNOU PhD admissions.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the PhD admission process till November 25, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates who are not yet registered can do so by visiting the official website at ignouadm .samarth.edu.in. “With the approval of the competent authority, the deadline for online admission form for PhD programs has been extended till 25.11.2024,” the official statement said.

As per the official announcement, candidates must have a valid UGC NET 2024 score or a valid UGC NET with JRF to be eligible to apply for IGNOU PhD admissions. Applicants must also hold a postgraduate degree or master’s degree from a UGC accredited institution with at least 55 percent marks possible. SC, ST, EWS, OBC and PWD candidates have been given 5% relaxation in the mark.

IGNOU PhD Admission 2024: Documents Required to Apply

— A scanned passport-size photo (less than 100 KB)

— Signature analysis (less than 100 KB)

— Every supporting document including UGC NET-JRF Certificate, UGC-NET Scorecard, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Disability Certificate, Degree, Year of Birth and relevant mark sheets (less than 500 KB)

IGNOU PhD Admission 2024: How to Apply?

Step 1. Go to ignouadm.samarth.edu.in, the official portal of IGNOU Samarth.

Step 2. In the candidate login section, select the “New Registration” button.

Step 3. Enter your information, including your name and password, accurately in the relevant fields.

Step 4. You will receive an SMS and an email with your username.

Step 5. Send a scanned copy of each necessary document.

Step 6. Use a credit card, debit card or banking network to pay the registration fee.

Step 7. Complete and submit the online application. Before submitting, applicants should be sure to review the application.

Step 8. Save it to your computer for later use.

IGNOU PhD Admission 2024: Application Fee

To submit their application, candidates have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1000. Candidates from other categories have to pay Rs 800. There is no refund for the application fee.
