HOUGHTON — Michigan Tech sophomore forward Stiven Sardarian has been named CCHA Forward of the Week, the conference announced Monday. He led the CCHA with three points in the weekend sweep at Ferris State.

Sardarian, a third-round pick of the Buffalo Sabres, scored two goals and added an assist against the Bulldogs. He scored the game-winner each night with a third-period goal on Friday and a first-period goal on Saturday. Sardarian also contributed to Chase Pietila’s power play goal on Friday. Sardarian has scored in four straight games and in six of the last seven. His six goals this season lead the CCHA and rank seventh nationally.

Tech is 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the CCHA and has a weekend off before Minnesota State comes to town Nov. 22-23.
