Covering the continuing fallout from that of Donald Trump controversial choice of Matt Gaetz as the new attorney general, Jimmy Kimmel in his monologue Tuesday, he found himself rooting for a longtime foe.

“Things are already crazy,” Kimmel said. “If you want to know what the Republican Party is like right now, here’s a tweet from Marjorie Taylor Greene. I think that says it all. She defends Matt Gaetz…”

Kimmel read aloud Greene’s message, in which the congresswoman argued that if his House colleagues wanted to release Gaetz’s ethics report, then they should release it all the ethics reports they have on each member of the House.

“Yes, all ethical reports and assertions,” Greene wrote“All your sexual harassment and assault claims that were secretly settled by paying the victims with taxpayer money. The whole Jeffrey Epstein files, tapes, recordings, interviews with witnesses. Epstein was/is not the only asset.

“If we want to dance, let’s all dance in the sun.”

Kimmel replied: “Great. Do it… Let the cheeseburgers fall where they may.

Kimmel continued: “She specifically says: If you reveal what an inept, corrupt, sleazy dirtbag Matt Gaetz is, then help me God, I’ll let the voters know that you are too.” OK, I agree with the poorly built butch body bleached blonde. Put it all out there.

Kimmel also joked about Trump’s new round of questionable cabinet choices, including his choice to talk show personality, Dr. Oz to lead the nation’s Medicaid and Medicare programs, and former CEO of WWE Linda McMahon lead the Ministry of Education.

“What’s going on here?” Kimmel joked.

Later, responding to a clip To a Newsmax guest comparing the quality of Trump’s cabinet picks to those of the “Founding Fathers,” Kimmel responded, “The Three Stooges is more like it.” »

Kimmel added: “If Trump fails to get his nominees confirmed by the Senate, his team consider playdates. Recess is the time when Congress temporarily suspends its work. This is also where Matt Gaetz meets his girlfriends.
