Over 30 people, including 14 women, were arrested during a raid by police and excise officials on a farm allegedly linked to former Telangana minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) in Rangareddy district . They were arrested for serving alcohol without permission and for suspected drug use.

Following a tip-off, police and excise officers raided a farmhouse in Janwada area of ​​Hyderabad and seized seven imported liquor bottles containing 10.5 liters of liquor, along with 10 bottles of manufactured liquor Indian, all apparently served without a license, police said. .

Officials conducted drug tests on party attendees and one person, identified as Vijay Madduri, tested positive for cocaine, according to police. Madduri was then taken to hospital for further examination.

A case was registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against Madduri, particularly under Section 27, at a local police station in Rangareddy.

Further, a separate case has been filed under relevant sections of the Telangana Excise Act against the farm owner for serving liquor without a license.

Earlier last week, in a similar action, more than 100 people, including 42 women, were arrested by the Hyderabad police following a raid on a pub based on information about activities illegal, particularly concerning inappropriate dance performances.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided TOS pub in Banjara Hills on Friday, arresting 140 people allegedly involved in obscene dance performances, the Hyderabad police said in a press release.
