The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the class 10 and 12 board exam schedule for the academic year 2025. The board exams for both classes will begin on February 15, 2025. CBSE Board Exams of class 10 2025 will start with English. as the first subject, while class 12 exams will start with entrepreneurship. The detailed date sheet is available on the CBSE official website and the exams will begin at 10:30 am daily.

After the date sheet was released, students appearing for the exam approached X to express their dissatisfaction with the schedule. Most students were concerned about the short preparation period for chemistry and physics exams, as these subjects required more preparation time.

Meanwhile, CBSE issued a statement mentioning, “CBSE has prepared the date sheet for the exams scheduled from 15.02.2025. While preparing the date sheet… Sufficient gap has been left between two subjects usually offered by a student in both classes. The date sheet has been prepared by avoiding over 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two exams chosen by a student fall on the same date.

For the first time, the CBSE said that the date sheets were issued almost 86 days before the exams began. The CBSE highlighted, “Compared to 2024, the publication this year is 23 days earlier. This was possible due to the timely submission of the credit line by the schools. »

Highlighting the benefits of early release, the CBSE said, “Students can start their preparations well in advance, which helps them overcome exam stress and perform better. Families and teachers can plan their schedules, including summer vacations and assessment tasks, without disrupting classes outside of school. Schools, especially those serving as examination centers, will have ample time to plan their academic activities accordingly. »
