Twelve Days of Christmas in Southeast Missouri exhibit opens in Jackson

JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) – The Cape Girardeau County Historical SocietyThe annual holiday display is back.

Organizers say the Southeast Missouri Twelve Days of Christmas display will feature nine ladies dancing on SEMO’s River Campus, more than four Missouri birds calling, more than seven swans swimming on Hubble Creek, ten lords and white-tailed deer of southeast Missouri. Leaping, as well as Eight Maids a-Milking surrounded by their Missouri Barn Quilts.

The Twelve Drummers Drumming Tree is an interactive sound sculpture with numerous drums and other percussion instruments. All other special days are displayed on trees and landscapes.

This exhibition is surrounded by interpretations of the region’s winter forests.

You can view the exhibit for yourself from Wednesday, November 13 through Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the History Center, located at 102 S. High St. in Jackson. It is open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
