Electric two-wheeler start-up Oben Electric will launch the new Oben Rorr EZ electric motorcycle on November 7. The company has revealed a teaser of the product.

Although important details about the Oben Rorr EZ are still under wraps, it will be an everyday device with LFP battery technology.

Oben says it has a completely in-house approach, from R&D to manufacturing of critical components such as batteries, motors, vehicle control units and fast chargers.

Currently, Oben offers the Oben Rorr, priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric motorcycle uses an 8 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor coupled to a 4.4 kWh battery.

The Oben Rorr has a claimed range of 187 km on a single full charge. The maximum speed would be 100 km/h. The electric motorcycle has fast charging capability and can be charged up to 80% in two hours.

We expect the Oben Rorr EZ to be priced lower than the Oben Rorr.
