If you are trans, if you are the parent of a trans child, your child’s face served as a springboard to power for someone, and it doesn’t feel good. There will be people there tomorrow; we are going to give clothes (to immigrants) to the dry cleaner who do not have papers. There are going to be people who are going to brush your teeth tomorrow, who have no papers and who are terrified tonight.
