State Bank of India (SBI) is currently accepting applications for the posts of Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO). All interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website, sbi.co.in. As per the official schedule, registration for vacancies started on November 22 and the deadline for submitting the registration form is December 12.

The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 169 deputy director posts in the organization, including 42 deputy director (engineer-civil) posts, 25 deputy director (engineer-electrical) posts, 101 deputy director (engineer-electrical) posts -fire) and 1 position of Deputy Director (Civil Engineer).

Step 1: Go to the official website, bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings.

Step 2: Once on the home page, click on the link “RECRUITMENT OF SPECIALIZED OFFICERS ON CONTRACTUAL BASIS”.

Step 3: Log in to your account.

Step 4: Continue with the application process and fill out the form accurately.

Step 5: Verify all the details and deposit the application fee.

Step 6: Submit and print the form for future reference.

SBI SCO Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

To apply, candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC categories need to pay a registration fee of Rs 750, while those belonging to SC, ST and PwBD categories are exempt from any fee.

SBI SCO Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The selection process includes a written exam followed by an interview for most vacancies. The test will be administered in January 2025. However, for the position of Fire Engineer, pre-selection and interaction will determine the final selection.

The written exam will consist of two sections, General Aptitude and Professional Knowledge. The General Aptitude test will take 90 minutes and the Professional Knowledge test will last 45 minutes. There will be no negative mark in case of wrong answers. The final merit list will be determined by combining the professional knowledge test (out of 100) and interview (out of 25) marks with a weightage of 70:30.
