It seems that few people are focusing on the fact that Proposition 1 doesn’t just focus on “open primaries.” If that were the case, I would probably have no problem going back to the old system.

The real problem with Proposition 1 is the poison pill that is “ranked choice voting.” The few states that have adopted “ranked voting,” including our neighbors in Alaska, have found the system confusing and leading to unintended consequences.
