THE National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a notification directing medical colleges and establishments to submit an annual declaration on the NMC portal by November 15, 2024. The establishments are also required to submit the required fee of Rs 3,54,000 along with a application for permission for admission to places for undergraduate courses for the year 2025-26.

NMC noted that submission of duly filled annual declaration form of each college on the NMC portal is mandatory for annual renewal of permission of UG-MBBS seats. The institute will not authorize any seat if the college/institution fails to submit the annual return within the stipulated time.

The Annual Return Portal for the academic year 2025-26 is integrated with the following additional information.

• Uploading letter of recognition/continuation of recognition grant to medical colleges by MCI/NMC from grant of permission for establishment of medical college.
• Download the latest renewal letter issued for the year 2024-25.
• In column 14 of the college details in the portal, it is mandatory to indicate the name of the competent authority mentioned in column 13.
• A new tab has been created on the portal where medical colleges have to upload the videography details of the examination conducted and FORM C.

The NMC also mentioned that colleges/institutes which have not registered their AEBAS with the NMC will not be able to access the portal. The username and password of each medical college have already been shared with the nodal officers of the concerned colleges.
