Christian McCaffrey injury keeps Fantasy Football managers guessing

Christian McCaffrey remained out while his San Francisco 49ers rested with their Week 9 bye. The star running back previously missed the win against the Cowboys in Week 8 as he continued his recovery from an Achilles injury that kept him out of every game this season.

But while Kyle Shanahan’s men watched from the comfort of their homes last week, things got back to business as they looked to prepare for The Week 10 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hopefully with McCaffrey on the team.

What is McCaffrey’s injury?

Having been Suffering from Achilles tendinitis, McCaffrey was placed on IR in mid-Septemberbefore the 49ers’ Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Under NFL rules, players can go off IR after four games. San Francisco was therefore allowed to reactivate the 28-year-old since its Week 5 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on October 6. he remained on the IR.

The day after the victory against the Seahawks on October 10, San Francisco head coach Shanahan confirmed that their star could be out for a while. The idea always seemed to be to get him back for Week 10, when San Francisco would face the Bucs on November 10. So what does the coach say now that we’re almost there?

“He’s been great the last two days. » » Shanahan said. “You never know (in regards to injury) a setback or anything, but These two days have been great and I hope to see him there.

Is that enough to give Fantasy Football managers across the country confidence in starting him? No doubt we will have more information as we get closer to Sunday.
