It’s the final countdown! US voters will head to the polls on Tuesday to vote in the presidential election after a close fight between the vice president Kamala Harrisformer Democratic and Republican president Donald Trump.

In a new NPR/PBS News/Marist Poll On Monday, the race ended in a deadlock – 49% to 49% – among registered voters. Among likely voters, Harris led 51% to 47%, an advantage that still remains within the margin of error.

More than 82 million Americans voted before Election Day, according to the University of Florida. Election laboratoryor more than half of the 160 million ballots cast in 2020, during which U.S. voter turnout was the highest in more than a century.

Harris is in Washington, D.C., and plans to celebrate election night at Howard Universityhis alma mater. If elected, she will be the first U.S. president to graduate from a historically black college and university (HBCU).

Governor of Minnesota Tim WalzHarris’ running mate and his wife, Gwen, will campaign in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, before heading to Washington. DC for a Harris-Walz election night.

Trump is expected to be a Mar-a-Lago and will host a watch party at a convention center in West Palm Beach, Florida. This marks a change from the 2022 watch parties and Super Tuesday, which took place in Trump’s club in Palm Beachaccording to the Palm Beach Post, part of the USA TODAY Florida network.
