Why is Bollywood classic ‘Karan Arjun’ being re-released? – News

A Bollywood classic Karan Arjun, starring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, is set to be re-released worldwide on November 22.

Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film is remembered for its iconic storyline, unforgettable dialogues and stellar performances.

Roshan explained why a re-release was necessary. “I feel a little nervous because it’s like an experiment. At the time, the film worked because it was wholesome entertainment with a story based on reincarnation – a mother believing that her sons would come back, and they do I’m curious to know “We have to see whether or not today’s generation believes in such a story. If they like the movie, that will mean the generation hasn’t changed. But if they don’t like it, it will indicate that times have indeed changed,” he said.

Roshan also spoke about the challenges he faced while directing Karan Arjun.

“It was a very difficult film for me because I had to convince the audience to believe the story. A mother says that her two sons will come back, and they do – showing how they are reborn, where they are born, how they meet each other, and how they found their mother was a difficult journey for me as a director,” he said.

Dialogues from the film, such as “Singles Karan Arjun aayenge” And “Bhaag Arjun Bhaag“, have become part of popular culture, often used in memes.

Roshan expressed his joy over this lasting legacy and shared, “I see memes with dialogues like ‘Singles Karan Arjun aayenge‘ And ‘Bhaag Arjun Bhaag’. It’s great to see that even after 30 years, people remember the film, its characters and its dialogues. It feels good that it’s still fresh in people’s memories.”

When asked about the possibility of acting again, Roshan shared, “I would love to act if someone offers me a role. But I wouldn’t take on my own film because as a producer and director, I have So much responsibility. Managing production, directing, and being in front of the camera is something I can’t handle all at once.”
