New Delhi: The Adani Group on Thursday rejected allegations by US prosecutors that its chairman Gautam Adani paid more than $250 million (around ₹2,100 crore) in bribes to secure government contracts in India .

In a statement, the group rejected the accusations made by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as baseless. The allegations relate to bribes paid in connection with solar energy contracts.
