Brianna “Fried Chicken” LaPaglia opens up about how she Golden Globes 2024 the experience was allegedly “ruined” by her ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan.

On the last episode of Best friends podcast — in which LaPaglia claims she was emotionally abused by country music star and asked her to sign NDA (which she claims she refused) – the podcast host also alleged he tried to influence what she wore and her social media presence.

Representatives for LaPaglia and Bryan did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

“It was crazy. It was the first time he really tried to control what I wore and what I posted,” she recalls. “So I went to the Golden Globes and I posted like a image carouseland he didn’t like my dress.”

“He said he didn’t want to date someone who presented himself that way. And he unfollowed me, he unfollowed everyone, and I… when I got home “I went home after the Golden Globes. He ruined my night,” LaPaglia continued.

The influencer continued: “Everything that was good, everything good that I did for myself, he made sure to ruin it for me. He ruined my birthday, he ruined my tour, he ruined the Golden Globes. Everything Brianna did for Brianna, he had to ruin it.”

She alleges that the night of the event, everything was “going so well” until she sent him photos. “He’s like happy at first, then all of a sudden it turns into, ‘I can’t believe you’re wearing that… blah blah blah blah.’ ”

“It ruins the night. I cry for Grace (O’Malley) all night, and he doesn’t follow me anymore because of the dress. He tells me all the Instagram photos I have that I need to delete, and I’m like, “Okay, yeah, I guess.” He makes me think I have to change my image to follow his or something,” LaPaglia continued, expressing that she felt like her “head was twisted.”

After LaPaglia said she was described as someone who had “my nipples and my vagina out,” the “icing on the cake” saw him reposting a photo of her at the Golden Globes on his Instagram Stories.

“He reposted this photo of me on his story and said, ‘You’re so beautiful.’ While freaking out behind the scenes and unfollowing all of us, and unfollowing me, it was really a tug-of-war with my emotions in my head,” she said.

La Paglia and Bryan made their relationship public in July 2023. They dated for over a year before he confirmed their separation in October.
