Nora Fatehi has managed to make a place for herself in Bollywood. The actor and dancer is known for his outspoken personality and hot dance moves. In a latest interview, she compared Bollywood to a clique of high school students and explained that learning the local language is the only way for foreign actors to succeed in India.

Speaking to Rajeev Masand at the Melbourne Indian Film Festival, Nora Fatehi spoke about her journey in Bollywood. The actor opened up about how Bollywood reminded him of high school cliques. She took the example of her school years in Canada and Saudi Arabia where she found that students did not want new people to join their group. She spoke about how she dealt with cliques in high school and knew she would have to follow the same approach in Bollywood as well.

Fatehi said, “It (Bollywood) is a little worse than high school since most of these cliques grew up together from day one. But when you’ve done it once, you feel like you can do it again. Since you are a foreigner, if you don’t prove yourself or learn Hindi, assimilate and prove to them that “Hey, I can be like you guys”, there is no way to ‘enter it. »

During the same conversation, she also mentioned how learning Hindi or the local language is important for a foreign actor to succeed in the Indian film industry. The actor continued, “I realized one thing: if a foreigner comes to Bollywood and he doesn’t make it, most of the time it’s because he hasn’t learned the language (l ‘hindi) or that he has not assimilated it.”

Fatehi came to Mumbai in her early twenties to begin a career in showbiz. Over the years, she has worked in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam films. She will soon make her Telugu debut opposite Varun Tej in Matka.
